Daily tests: day 12 (la deuxième partie)

This evening’s test results before a water change were:

• nitrite: over 5 ppm

…and after a water change of 12 litres and a 4 litre top-up:

• ammonia: 0.1-0.2 ppm
• nitrite: over 5 ppm

The nitrite still does not correspond to any colour on the chart, but I am putting it down to magentas being difficult to print. The pre-water change reading was slightly more purple and the post-water change reading was more magenta.

I also flattened out the substrate a little bit in the aquarium, and something (possibly the nitrite) did irritate my hands quite a bit.
